Geyik Dam and Auxiliary Facilities

Description

It was constructed on the river Sarıçay, 25 km to the northeast of the district Milas, the province Muðla to supply cooling water to the Yeniköy thermal power plant. It is a rock-filled dam, 41 m-high from the foundation, with a lake volume of 58,000,000 m³ at max. water level, a 240 m-long derivation tunnel, 2,50 meters in diameter. 33 km-long access roads were constructed under this work. As part of the road and body constructions 2,300,000 m³ of excavation and filling works were performed.
