Yaylak Plain Irrigation Project

Description

Tahal, Ekinciler and İçtaş set up a joint venture pursuant to a bilateral treaty between the governments.

The entire funding for the project was supplied by the joint venture.

As per the project, the following works were performed, on a turn-key basis, for the irrigation of an 18,322-hectare area:

- construction of a 83 km-long primary canal having a capacity of 17.03 m3/sec.;
- supply and installation of the electromechanical equipment for the P1 primary pumping station having a capacity of 21 m3/sec.;
- construction of 10 secondary pumping stations and the supply and installation of the electromechanical equipments therefor;
- supply and installation of pressurized pipes, 640 km in length, of various types and diameters,
- supply and installation of such pressurized pipes of various types and diameters, a secondary pumping station and the relevant irrigation equipments as required for the irrigation of an area of 18,322 hectares, gross.
- supply and installation of a 34.4 kV-High Voltage Line,
- construction of balancing stores on the primary canal,
- supply and installation of the automatic control equipment of the control of the system through SCADA.

The project was completed within 5 years.
